My passion for design started at a very young age. As the daughter of
an artist, I was encouraged to draw, paint, and create in my free time.
At first, my focus was on clothing but it quickly turned to drawing
floor plans and creating spaces. I would spend hours creating Barbie
houses out of cardboard boxes, wallpaper samples, and fabric scraps. I
enjoyed watching my drawings come to life.
Today I draw my design inspiration from many places. I enjoy traveling
and collecting items of inspiration that are attractive and inspire me.
I generally find one thing that becomes a catalyst for the rest of the
room. Whether it is a photo of a memorable occasion, a family
heirloom, a comfy old piece of clothing, or a work of art, I find ways
to build off it.
Outside of traveling, I enjoy my unofficial title of "house flipper."
The last two homes I have worked on have sold within 36 hours of going
on the market. I've ripped up floors, tiled fireplaces, stained
cupboards, and painted for hours! Much of my success comes from finding
the right piece at the right price (and a lot of elbow grease!) There
is nothing more fun than updating old worn-out rooms into fun,
functional, and creative spaces.
