Where do you gather inspiration?
My inspiration comes from my travels, along with nature and art. Balance plays a role in how I look at design. Living abroad influenced the way I saw design- through architecture, different cultures, and the wide range of people I've met.
What do you love most about designing?
Helping people bring out the “feel” they want their house to be and bringing out their personalities. Every home is different, that makes every home a new challenge.
What has been your favorite project to date?
Recently, I worked with a wonderful couple that moved here from England. They had a lot of antiques so I had the pleasure of helping them blend the antiques with some new pieces. That was fun- blending the new with the old.
What are your favorite rooms to work on?
I enjoy doing a project from the ground up just as much as I enjoy mixing what people already have and making it work with things we have here too. I like doing both.
What makes Paul Schatz special? Why should people come here for their furnishings?
I found Paul Schatz gives great value for their pieces. We treat everybody wonderfully that comes through. It doesn’t matter if it’s a small project or a big project, they have great customer service, they take great pride in their environment, and they take very good care of their clients, which I appreciate.
