Waverly Place Furniture Back
Old English Plank-Top Dining Group

Hardwood Solids with Cherry Veneers; Resin *

Waverly Place, Hooker's breathtaking new dining group, has a distinctive Old English look achieved through a cherry veneer with an uneven texture and a random width plank effect on table tops. While the pieces would be at home in an ancient castle in the English countryside, their function and scale is current for today, highlighted by a refectory dining table with self-storing leaves.

The self-storing leaves allow a modestly-sized, space-conserving table to be expanded to the sprawling size of 126 ½ inches long to seat 12 dinner guests comfortably.

Waverly Place is crafted of hardwoods solids and cherry veneers with a new technique that approximates the look of solid cherry without the drawbacks of solids, such as warping and cracking. The extensive collection features three tables, four chair styles including ladder back and upholstered; a kitchen island and two styles of swivel bar and counter stools and even a game table.

* Many of our furniture items are constructed of hardwood solids and veneers over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
