Gathered from the warm ocean waters of the South Pacific, penshells come in a variety of natural colors. The outside is rough, like an oyster. The shells are selected for the beauty of their inside surface, washed and the inside removed and applied to a marine plywood base. The small lines in the surface of this furniture are the result of applying the curved shell surface to the flat plywood base. These are natural to this type of furniture. Slight variations in color are the be expected, as these colors are naturally produced.
