We are committed to assuring quality and value in all important areas of furniture-making: materials, where quality begins with carefully selected lumber; wood veneers and other incoming resources; product design and engineering, where quality is enhanced with the thoughtful inclusion of important features; and execution, where quality results from the caring craftsmanship of skilled workers.

 Most cases feature sturdy levelers to permit adjustment on uneven floors.  Raised panel doors have strong panel and frame construction to help prevent warping. | Drawer parts receive a urethane or lacquer finish for smoothness and durability.  All drawers utilize strong, time-tested dovetails, either English or French, for years of problem-free use. |  | Plywood drawer bottoms are attached to plywood drawer sides with hot glue and/or wood glue blocks for strength and durability. Most drawers are full height, width and depth for maximum storage space. | Hooker Furniture utilizes carefully chosen solid wood and select wood veneers over wood products in its construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers, which are used over engineered wood products, made of renewable resources, are present mostly on flat surface areas of the furniture such as case tops and sides. In addition to providing decorative looks, veneers add weight, strength and dimensional stability. In some cases, molded resin components are used to simulate wood carvings. |
 POWER DIRECTOR II Most desks and computer cabinets feature our Power Director II power center with (front) two switched electrical outlets, one phone "out" jack, one high speed data "out" port, one USB "in/out" outlet; and (back) three switched electrical outlets, one constant power outlet, one phone "in/out" jack, one USB "in/out" outlet, and two high speed data "in/out" ports; and surge and lightning protection with a $10,000 connected equipment warranty from the master control panel manufacturer. For ease of connection, the panel snaps out of the housing for easy attachment of electrical cords and phone and computer wires. When connections are complete, the unit snaps back into place.
