Design Question?

Abe Benzaquen

611 W. Russell St., Fayetteville, NC 28301

I was born in Morocco, North Africa and have lived in Europe and the Washington, DC area during my youth.  Those experiences allowed me to observe many different lifestyles and cultures as a kid.  After graduating high school, I was drafted into the Army and eventually moved to the Ft. Bragg/Fayetteville area.  After a short military career, I worked as a Visual Merchandiser/Area Manager for Fine's Mens clothing store from the Tidewater, VA area for over 30 years. I experienced many different style, trend changes in the clothing industry during that time.  I specialized in window design with mannequins and displaying the clothes and accessories that were being promoted at the time.  There is an art to designing a window just as setting up a room with a rug, furniture, art, and accessories.

My transition into the furniture industry 20 years ago was a natural fit for me because I am still working in a fashion forward business.  I take pride in getting to know the clients on a personal level so that I can help them better.  I especially like to help clients design and plan room designs and give them ideas of things that they may not have thought of.  Also, I always try to utilize the proper products with the customers needs and insure the customer understands all of the features and benefits of the product that they are buying.  As a buyer for 30 years at clothing shows in NY to now being a buyer at the furniture market in High Point, NC twice a year for the last 20 years.  I know that product knowledge along with understanding our merchandise is a key to customer satisfaction and adds value to the clients experience. I always try to make the client happy and comfortable whether in the store or at their home. I like to use my humor and personality to get to know them better.

Many people will tell you that one of my best attributes is customer service.  I have built the confidence of many Homemakers clients, suppliers, and employees over the last 20 years through hard-work, personal service, and an understanding that the customer is number one.  I will be there when you have an issue or just need to talk to someone about a concern.

I am a very family oriented person.  We enjoy going out to dinner at different restaurants on Friday nights as a family.  I have been married for 48 years to my beautiful wife Brenda.  Together, we have a son{David} and daughter-in-law{Nergis}, daughter{Lisa} and son-in-law {Jason}, three granddaughters: Stacey, Anna, and Emersyn.  Last but not least, we have an Airedale Terrier named Cleo. Homemakers is like a second family to me.  Please come in and see us and we promise to make you feel like part of the Homemakers family!
